Principle of operation
Activated Carbon Pollutant Remover removes pollutants through a process of physical and chemical adsorption. Physical adsorption is the adsorption of pollutants to the surface of activated carbon by van der Waals forces (weak charge attraction). Chemical adsorption refers to the chemical reaction between the pollutant and the surface of the activated carbon, forming a chemical bond.
Areas of Application:
Water Treatment: In the field of water treatment, activated carbon is used to remove organic pollutants, residual chlorine, odors and colors from water. For example, activated carbon filtration is commonly used in household water purifiers and industrial wastewater treatment systems.
